These topics have been put into school assembly format to allow teachers to communicate these principles to students, and re enforce positive habits and behaviours. School Assembly - Tasks vs Time

This Power Point is based on the 3rd of the 7 Habits, Put first things first. This Power Point aims to set out the merits and invaluable practice of sorting through our tasks, and putting the important tasks first. Getting the audience to think about and question their current set up of task prioritisation, and how this is linked to the goals they have, their has to be congruence between the two. Everyone has the same time during a day/week. What we do with it, and what we choose to prioritise can sometimes be the major difference. The key emphasis of the Power Point is get audience members present to why this practice is so important. Techniques and models can then be implemented with belief. Both the Power Point and supplementary notes are read only. Please click on read only to access the document. The format of the resources has been designed to be dyslexia friendly.

School Assembly - The Power of Goals

(0)
Based on Stephen Covey’s 2nd of 7 Habits (Begin with the end in mind) this Power Point focuses on the power and effectiveness of goal setting. Rather than focus on SMART Objectives and the mechanics of it, the importance of having a compelling vision for your life that inspires you to take action now (on whatever you maybe aspiring to do), coupled with the emphasis that having a goal gives you power in the present, despite roadblocks, obstacles, doubt and frustrations. Examples of successful people who have used goal setting included in the presentation. It is my intention from this Power Point to impress upon the audience of this presentation to set goals that excite them, align with their values, and to not give up until they are reached. Both the Power Point and supplementary notes for the person delivering this assembly are read only, please click on read only to access the information. Both resources are designed to be dyslexia friendly in their layout.
